MARCH 1 MEETING RECAP:
- There were 60 people in attendance.
- Chad Schnell passed around the first draft of a small promo poster and a folded schedule flyer. Both will be finalized and printed for early April.
- Kathy Bachman gave an update on the April Museum day including that the Grand Marshal will be announced during the event.
- Allen Luebbehusen reported on the Car Cruise the weekend before the fest, Saturday, June 23, 2018. When the cars return around 6pm, hamburgers and other food will be available, along with a DJ. The Hayride will leave the event around 7pm.
- Chad reported that any chairpersons who want the Queen to present awards and take photos need to let him know.
- Chad reported that all chairpersons need to get with him in the next month or so with what they want to do for awards or prizes for his event. Martha Goepfrich said to contact her if any chairpersons want participation ribbons, Martha is having them made for kids races. A few sample trophies were displayed.
- Kris Buechler reported the parade entry forms are ready and that there might be a limit on how many entries are accepted for the Thursday Night Parade. He said that parade route will go from the park up the church hill past the elementary school and then back down to the park so the state highway does not have to be closed for the Night Parade.
- Ron Sander reported on a large number of Tractor & Farm Show activities that will start on Sat. June 23 and continue the fest weekend.
- Chad reported on their continuing discussions about offering balloon rides. The balloons will only be able to fly for about 2 hours on Saturday early evening due to weather/winds that time of year.

- Chad reviewed the fest schedule and is ready to finalize it for the print materials.
- Chad reported to chairpersons to be ready for a big crowd on Friday night, not to be caught by surprise. He feels is very likely Friday will be as well, or better attended, than Saturday. Due to the less hours Friday it’s possible we will have a larger total number of people on the grounds at one time on Friday than Saturday.
- Tony Buechler gave a brief presentation announcing that the organizations the lead the major areas have agreed Streetfest will continue the last Saturday of June 2019.
